Tottenham are now trying to sign Boris Mamuzah Lum from Hertha Berlin – after already snapping up another wonderkid in Lucas Bergvall.

That is according to BILD.

So, what is the situation involving Tottenham and Boris Mamuzah Lum? Let’s take a look…

Tottenham want Boris Mamuzah Lum

Well – according to BILD – Spurs are putting in a lot of effort to sign the Germany U17 international.

Lum – who is just 16 years of age – is said to have already visited Tottenham and was shown around the club’s facilities at Hotspur Way.

BILD add that the teenager was also invited to watch the 3-1 win over Bournemouth at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium back in December, which he attended with his mother.

The German news outlet also mention that Lum has a €5m (£4m) release clause written into his contract.

However, Hertha Berlin might even accept an offer below that amount, such is the German outfit’s desperation for cash.

Furthermore, BILD claim that Barcelona, Ajax, Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen and RB Salzburg are also keen to sign Lum – although he is seemingly closest to joining Tottenham.

Who is Boris Mamuzah Lum?

Well, Tottenham have already signed a potentially excellent midfielder in the aforementioned Bergvall, who arrived in an £8.5m deal from Djurgården on transfer deadline day at the beginning of February.

The 18-year-old has been compared to Jude Bellingham and looks set to have a very bright future.

If Spurs do manage to sign Lum, he and Bergvall may even become the new Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama at the heart of Tottenham’s midfield.

The Hertha Berlin wonderkid operates as a No.6 just ahead of the backline, sitting in a deep lying midfield role where he is certainly not afraid to get stuck in.

Lum has picked up nine yellow cards in just 18 appearances this season, to give an example of this tenacious approach.

Additionally, the Tottenham target captains the Germany U17 side, which suggests he has strong leadership skills.

Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Spurs appear to be favourites to sign Lum.
