Tottenham Hotspur’s attempts to sign Adrien Rabiot appear to be falling on deaf ears. Initially, it appeared the PSG star was waiting on Barcelona. That deal never happened and Barca instead agreed a deal for Frenkie De Jong of Ajax.
Now, as reported by L’Equipe, he will not be joining Spurs in January. Available for just £20 million because of his expiring contract, he is now holding out for a move to Liverpool.
It seems Rabiot just does not see Tottenham as a club befitting his talents. It is a terrible shame because the Frenchman could have gone on to become a true club great at Tottenham.

Tottenham are in danger of going trophyless again this season and are lacking a quality midfield dynamo with Mousa Dembele now departing.
Rabiot could have fulfilled that role for years to come.
Imagine if he could have been the player to finally take Tottenham that one step further and end the club hoodoo by winning silverware. He would have become a club legend.
Tottenham would have been a perfect location for Rabiot to be a leading man. Now he looks set to head elsewhere and join an ensemble cast.
His dismissal of Tottenham is an oversight on his part.
