This summer Everton decided it was time to let Ademola Lookman go. The talented attacker was a popular figure among the Everton fanbase, who felt he deserved a proper run at the first-team under Marco Silva after an impressive loan stint at RB Leipzig.
In the end, the German side offered Everton a fee they felt was too good to refuse. As reported by talkSPORT, the deal was reportedly worth around £22.5 million.
It left some Everton fans frustrated with Marco Silva, as they felt Lookman never got a fair crack under the Portuguese manager.
However, so far, Lookman has failed to prove the Everton boss wrong. Whilst Leipzig are flying, sitting second in the Bundesliga, Lookman has not played a key role.
The 22-year-old has played just four times for Leipzig so far this season. He played in both of the side’s Bundesliga defeats this season and has not provided a goal or an assist so far this term.
Of course, he is still young and Everton fans are well aware of his ability. The player himself is probably happy with the move as well, considering Leipzig are in a title race and are playing Champions League football. But it does not currently appear as though Everton are missing out on Lookman based on his form at his new club.
