Wolverhampton Wanderers recorded a narrow 3-2 home win over Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday night in an FA Cup fourth round replay.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side finally got the better of the League One team after 180 minutes and should be eyeing success in the cup this campaign.

Matt Doherty proved his quality from defence with two more goals to his name, while Ivan Cavaleiro netted the winner in the second-half.

But attacker Adama Traore was one of the standouts for Wolves and gave supporters a glimpse into what he’s really about.

Traore has been an enigma since his arrival in the summer and struggled to really leave his mark at Molineux.

The 23-year-old flyer is renowned for his pace and trickery, but has struggled with his end product and is not a nailed on starter in the Premier League.

He was much more at the races against Shrewsbury and proved what a real threat he can be in the right-winger role when he is direct on the ball.

Wolves need to see more from him in the top flight in terms of creativity and manager Nuno must be left with a headache over how to help Traore make a difference against stronger opposition, but a lot of it boils down to confidence and decision making.
