For the first time in almost 300 days, Adam Lallana was in the starting line-up for Liverpool. His long awaited return to fitness was accompanied by a raft of injuries over the international break which hit the Reds hard.
That meant that he was selected against Huddersfield Town in a fixture where he would have been expected to add the much needed creative spark which has been missing in the middle of the park of late.
Despite all of the hope and expectation, he failed to live up to expectations, not registering a single shot or completing a single pass in the opposition box.

The former Southampton man was hauled off in the second half amid fears over another injury, though it looks not to be anything serious.
If Jurgen Klopp was keeping his fingers crossed that Lallana would return in form and offer an alternative in Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s absence, he will have been sorely disappointed.
With Naby Keita and Fabinho having let the coach down this season too, it looks like the German has less and less options with every passing week.
