Leeds United signed Adam Forshaw for £4.5million (BBC) a year ago in the January transfer window of 2018.
The midfielder arrived at Elland Road with the weight of expectation on his shoulders, as someone that could help improve the centre of the park.
He’s got a wealth of experience having started his career at Everton, while he’s proven at Championship level with Middlesbrough too.
The Englishman has shown in patches throughout the 2018 calendar year his quality, but never put a consistent run together.
But Forshaw now has to be in his best form for the Yorkshire gains and that was highlighted with his display against Derby County on Friday night.
Leeds secured an impressive 2-0 league win at home to Derby to stay at the top of the Championship table and bossed the game.
Forshaw was one of the outstanding performers, as the central midfielder dominated his area of the park.
He was tenacious in his tackling and defensive work-rate, while he also displayed his quality and composure on the ball too.
The 27-year-old is a crucial part of the engine room in Marcelo Bielsa’s team and when he’s on top of his game he looks a bargain signing.
