Leeds United midfielder Adam Forshaw has admitted to a frustrating season due to injury, but is hoping he can make a comeback against Millwall after the international break.
The Whites host Millwall at Elland Road on 30 March in the Championship and will be looking to close the one-point deficit behind second-placed Sheffield United in the table.
Marcelo Bielsa’s team are firmly in the hunt for automatic promotion with eight games to remaining and it will be good news to hear they could receive an injury boost.
Forshaw has not been involved in a league game since the start of February, but is hopeful of making a return imminently.
The 27-year-old is a central midfielder that has made just 24 senior appearances so far this season and has had some unfortunate luck with injuries.
“I’ve had quite a frustrating season. An injury at the start then I had a decent run in the team and then this has come again at a bad time,” Forshaw told LUTV.
“It’s crunch time in the season and I want to make sure I’m 100% right before I come back in. Hopefully I can play a part in the last eight games. I’m improving and hopefully I can be ready for the next game.

TBR’s View:
Forshaw sounds dejected due to his poor record with injuries this season, but he could be returning for the most important stage and having another senior figure around the group will be a massive boost for Leeds.
The midfield enforcer will bring the know-how of a promotion race to a fairly inexperienced group and he should improve Bielsa’s options.
It’s unclear on if he will be available for selection against Millwall, but they could do with his physical presence in the midfield and he can help sit alongside Kalvin Phillips in games where Leeds need a strong defensive look.
Kemar Roofe is another important player out injured right now and Leeds stand a better chance of automatic promotion the sooner they return.
