‘Actual genuine interest’… Arsenal genuinely do want to sign £60m PL winger

Arsenal have been linked with a number of strikers and midfielders as of late, but perhaps they need a new winger.

Indeed, the Gunners don’t have much in terms of backup to Bukayo Saka down that right wing right now, and they could really do with some extra depth in that area.

Speaking on the Ranks FC Ultras Podcast, Dean Jones has shared something of an update on Arsenal’s interest in a new right winger, and he says that he’s led to believe that there is some actual genuine interest in Wolves’ Pedro Neto.

Arsenal genuinely keen on Neto

Jones shared what he knows about the £60m man.

“There are also new rumours coming around about Arsenal’s interest in Pedro Neto and I think that is actual genuine interest still, so while Wolves want to build for the future, they’re still trying to protect assets like Neto and probably Cunha too,” Jones said.

Great option

It has to be said that Neto would be a fantastic option for Arsenal if they were to go and get this deal done.

Neto has been electric for Wolves so far this season, he’s come back from injury and proven that he’s more than capable of cutting it at the top level, and it may just be a matter of time before he ends up joining a bigger club.

Of course, if he were to join Arsenal he’d probably have to play second-fiddle behind Saka, but given that Arsenal will be hoping to compete on four fronts in every season going forwards, he’d probably get plenty of gametime over the next few years.

Whether or not Arsenal make a move for Neto this month remains to be seen, but this is a move that would be very exciting if it did come to fruition.

This would appear to be a situation worth keeping an eye on.
