Leeds United and Leicester City are reportedly interested in signing AC Milan midfielder and highly-rated Italian talent Tommaso Pobega this summer as he continues to shine out on loan – but Milan fans are desperate to keep him.

Pobega, 21, is yet to make his senior Milan debut despite playing 52 times for the club’s second string. Instead, the Italy Under-21 ace joined Serie A side Spezia on loan at the start of the campaign and has since starred for the club.

Indeed, the midfielder has caught the eye of Italy manager Roberto Mancini – who claimed he is under consideration as Euro 2021 closes in – after netting three goals in 14 Serie A appearances for Spezia from central midfield.

Italian newspaper TuttoSport claim that Leeds are battling Leicester City and Eintracht Frankfurt for the midfielder – and the report claims Milan could rake in a figure between £8.75million and £10.5million for Pobega’s signature.

However, the report also states that Milan are keen to bring him back given his form for Spezia – and the player himself wants to stay at the San Siro. Milan remain top of the Serie A table, shining despite Stefano Pioli boasting a largely young side.

Milan supporters reacted on Twitter to reports that three clubs – including Leeds and Leicester – were after their highly-rated midfielder and many think that he should be kept instead of being sold.
