AC Milan have reportedly rejected an opportunity to sign Liverpool playmaker Adam Lallana this summer despite the England international being available on a free transfer – and Milan fans think their side have made the right decision.
Lallana, 31, remains a crucial part of the Liverpool side. However, it is becoming more and more apparent that the former Southampton star will leave on a free this summer, after he entered the final three months of his Reds contract.
Since joining Liverpool in the summer of 2014 from Southampton for a fee of £25million (BBC), Lallana has clocked up 178 appearances in all competitions for the Reds – helping them win the Champions League, and likely the Premier League.

Italian outlet CalcioMercato has claimed that AC Milan were offered Lallana, as were a number of Serie A sides. But Milan have rejected the chance for Lallana – and Mario Gotze – to move to the San Siro, and play alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
A number of Premier League sides have been linked with a move for Lallana this summer, including the likes of Leicester City and Brendan Rodgers – who bought Lallana from Southampton while in charge at Anfield.
Milan supporters have reacted on Twitter to the reported news that Lallana has seen a move to Milan fall through, with the Serie A side of the belief that the player is not good enough. Milan fans agree, delighted to see their club opt against Lallana.
