Arsenal have been heavily linked with Mykhaylo Mudryk in recent months.

In August, MediaFoot Marseille claimed the Gunners were among the teams eyeing the Shakhtar Donetsk star.

Speculation intensified when Mmudryk10 – the player’s official account – ‘liked’ a post linking Arsenal with him.

And though Mudryk stayed put at Shakhtar, he kept speculation alive just days after the transfer window shut.

He told CBS Sports: “Yes, I think every guy dreams about playing in the Premier League.

“Arsenal is a very good team, very good coach. I like the way they play.

“Yes, from my side, I can’t say no, but a transfer is not only my decision.”

Mudryk has gone from strength to strength this season, dazzling fans, neutrals and opponents alike.

Arsenal scouts and fans alike will likely have been keeping tabs on his latest Champions League outing on Tuesday night.

And they’ll have absolutely loved what they saw from the Ukraine international against Celtic.

In the 58th minute, with the Hoops 1-0 up, Mudryk equalised for his side in style.

He picked up the ball just inside the Celtic half, ran at the defence at pace, and let rip with a fierce effort outside the box.

“Absolutely stunning from Mudryk, arguably the best player on the park this evening so far,” BBC Sport journalist Kheredine Idessane said.

“Pace, power and a fabulous finish arrowing into the top of Joe Hart’s net. Sensational goal, and we’re back level at Celtic Park.”

“Perfect player for teams that love to play an attacking style of football”

Arsenal would be getting themselves an outstanding talent in Mudryk if they can sign him.

The versatile attacker has been nicknamed the “Ukrainian Neymar” for his exciting style of play.

Shakhtar themselves have described Mudryk as “unstoppable” on their Twitter channel.

Meanwhile, Foot The Ball published an in-depth scouting article on Mudryk earlier this summer.

“The 21-year-old is a skilled player that can play anywhere across the front line but prefers the left-wing,” they wrote.

“Mudryk is a perfect player for teams that love to play an attacking style of football.

“He can score goals, but his speciality lies in assists. He can find that killer pass that can split open defences.

“In addition, he can also use his skill and pace to get past defenders.”
