'Absolutely shocking': O'Hara names four players Conte should never use at Tottenham again

Jamie O’Hara spoke on Sky Sports after Tottenham Hotspur’s dismal performance against NS Mura in the UEFA Conference League yesterday.

Spurs conceded a goal after just 10 minutes and things went from bad to worse when Ryan Sessegnon was shown a red card. Harry Kane pulled a goal back in the second half and it looked like Tottenham would salvage a point.

However, a late error by Davinson Sanchez allowed Mura to score the winner in the 94th minute.

O’Hara was absolutely livid after the game. He lashed out at Spurs’ terrible performance and named four players who should never wear the Tottenham shirt again.

O’Hara: Four Tottenham players were absolutely shocking

He said yesterday: “It has been a disgrace. Some of the players, I’ll name them as well – Doherty, Ndombele, Dele Alli, Davinson Sanchez – were absolutely shocking.

“They should be ashamed of their performance tonight. They shouldn’t wear a Spurs shirt again, in my opinion, because this is a game that you need to win to get through and you’re trying to impress a brand new manager in Antonio Conte.

“You’ve got to go out there and give everything you’ve got and put in an unbelievable performance for yourself to be like ‘I want to be a part of this Antonio Conte era’. Not one player on that pitch deserves any credit, not one player!

“(Those four players are) not good enough, not fit enough and not got the determination and desire to wear the Spurs shirt. It’s embarrassing! Antonio Conte has to do something quickly. Get them out of the club, send them out on loan, get them out of Tottenham, because that is nowhere near good enough.”

Alli, Sanchez, Doherty and Ndombele didn’t have a great game yesterday, but neither did any of their teammates. Tottenham just couldn’t get going and a moment of individual brilliance from Harry Kane is the only reason why they even got a goal in.

Conte has to make changes at Tottenham, but just getting rid of most of his players is not the solution. Spurs are unlikely to even have a lot of money in January to replace them if they’re sold, which complicates things even further.

Alli and Ndombele have proven in the past that they have the quality to succeed. It’s up to Conte now to get the best out of them, but if recent form is anything to go by, it will not be an easy turnaround.
