TalkSPORT pundit Trevor Sinclair has singled out Tom Davies for praise following last night’s 5-4 win for Everton over Tottenham in the FA Cup.
The former Premier League star was covering the game for the radio station and took to Twitter afterwards.
Davies enjoyed a fantastic outing for the Toffees to hand a timely reminder of his quality to boss Carlo Ancelotti.
Two goals from Richarlison, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Bernard booked a place in the last eight for Everton.
Following the contest, Sinclair popped a Tweet on suggesting who his star man was from the Goodison Park clash.
It’s been a tough old season for Davies who has been forced to play a watching brief for a large amount of the campaign.
The 22-year-old has managed just eight starts in the Premier League with Ancelotti preferring Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure.
That hasn’t dampened the spirits of Davies though and last night he showcased a firm desire to prove a point.

The youngster was in tremendous form and certainly handed Ancelotti some food for thought ahead of the weekend.
Paid £25,000-a-week by the Toffees, the midfield maestro nearly found himself joining Southampton during the summer transfer window.
A move didn’t come to fruition though and the England under-21 man has been forced to wait patiently.
Davies has come through the ranks at Everton and playing for the club clearly means a lot to him.
On last night’s showing, he deserves more opportunities and Ancelotti will have some big calls to make ahead of Saturday’s game against Fulham.
