A number of Glasgow Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the Scottish Sun report claiming Jamie Murphy could be moved on from Ibrox.

The 30-year-old, a boyhood Rangers supporter, began life at Ibrox brightly after signing permanently from English club Brighton in 2018 for £1million following his half-season loan.

However, Murphy sadly suffered a cruciate ligament injury just weeks after swapping the Amex for Ibrox.

By the time he returned to full fitness, he had fallen behind the likes of Ryan Kent and Sheyi Ojo in the pecking order.

Murphy went out on loan to English League One side Burton Albion in January and did extremely well for the Brewers, claiming seven goals and two assists from just 10 league games.

However, he is yet to get any game time this season, and after making the bench for the Scottish Premiership opener with Aberdeen, failed to make the next three squads.

Now, according to the Scottish Sun, Premiership newcomers Dundee United are desperate to boost their attacking options and have targeted the out-of-favour Gers winger.

The outlet also understands that the Ibrox outfit would be willing to let Murphy, who has 12 months left on his current deal, leave for a cut-price fee.

Quite a few Rangers fans are against the idea of Murphy being offloaded and made their feelings known on social media:
