Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min has come in for some huge praise by BBC Sport pundit Robbie Savage as Spurs had a Sunday to remember.

Jose Mourinho’s charges ran out 6-1 winners over Manchester United, with Son scoring twice and providing an assist for Harry Kane.

For his first, Son ran onto Kane’s quick free kick before deftly flicking the ball over the diving David De Gea.

The South Korea international then set up Kane for the third goal and nutmegged the keeper for his own second.

Tanguy Ndombele had got Spurs back on level terms after Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring with a penalty, and Serge Aurier also got on the scoresheet for the visitors.

Savage, on commentating duties, was especially impressed by Son, telling BBC Sport (18:05): “Son Heung-Min was absolutely magnificent.

“Not just his goals but also his recovery runs and work rate. He’s good in the attacking area but his work ethic and quality is outstanding.”

Son’s credentials and heroics for Spurs over the years need no introduction but he’s hitting new heights this season with some simply sensational performances.

The £140,000-a-week ace now has seven goals and three assists from just six games in all competitions, alongside Kane’s eight goals and seven assists from seven games.

And with Gareth Bale working his way back up to fitness, Spurs could soon have the most feared and most prolific front line in the Premier League.
