Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, was full of praise for the ever-impressive Mo Salah, as the forward once again produced the big moment to see off Aston Villa at Anfield today.
Salah’s run at the Villa defence resulted in Tyrone Mings fouling the Liverpool star. From there, Salah then held his nerve to tuck the penalty past the brilliant Emi Martinez in the Villa goal.

For Salah, it simply continues a fine run of form for the Egyptian. He has been outstanding all season and once again was there when Liverpool needed him. And speaking to BBC MOTD after the game, Klopp expressed his delight at Salah’s impact once again.
“Absolutely insane. We all think penalty. Everybody wishes in the moment to take the penalty but he finishes it off. The whole game was not the easiest but the triangles we had on the right and left wing was really outstanding. In the end we did not have enough bodies in the box in the first half,” Klopp said when asked about Salah.
The Reds now sit just a point behind Manchester City at the summit of the table and one ahead of Chelsea in third.
TBR’s View: Salah Continues To Show His Value For Liverpool
It might have just been a penalty, but these big moments can often define a season, especially for teams at the top of the table. In the last two games, the Reds have not been at their best but found a way to win as well.
Salah is continually proving himself as the main man at Liverpool. This new contract needs sorting and quickly.
Klopp, rightfully, is delighted with his man. The big players produce in the biggest moments and there is simply no question that Mo Salah is doing that for Liverpool. The title race is wide open, and for the neutral at least, it’s the best season years.
