Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Calvin Ramsay is carrying a “little injury” at the moment.
The Reds boss said the issue was spotted during the medical checks ahead of the player joining the Anfield outfit.
However, Klopp reassured Liverpool fans by predicting “it will not take too long” for Ramsay to start training.

Liverpool signed the 18-year-old two weeks ago from Aberdeen for £6.5m.
The Reds are reportedly paying an initial £4m up front with a further £2.5m coming in the form of add-ons.
Klopp, speaking to the Liverpool media team, delivered an update on the Scotland youth international.
“Unfortunately, Calvin is now not training with us in the moment, he has a little injury,” he said.
“Nobody knew, we found it when he did his medical check.
“Until today he has no problems but the medical department tells us if we don’t take care for that now, he will have a problem in the future.
“So, when you are that young then of course he has a long career ahead of him, so we are very responsible in these moments.
“So he didn’t train yet with the team but is doing a lot of fitness work – it will not take too long I think.
“We really expect a lot from him”
Klopp went on to praise Ramsay’s qualities and expects “a lot from him in the long term” at Liverpool.
“I didn’t see him yet in training,” continued Klopp.
“But everything we saw about him, we heard about him, I heard from him: a fantastic boy.
“And what a player he is, what he did for Aberdeen last year, absolutely exceptional.
“In his age group and you know the things we need from a full-back, he is as close as it gets to the things we want and is still a kid.
“So we really expect a lot from him in the long term.”
Ramsay enjoyed a superb breakthrough season at Aberdeen last term.
The 18-year-old only made his senior debut in March 2021, in a Scottish Cup trip to Dumbarton.
Since then, however, Ramsay has kicked on massively, and became Dons’ first-choice right-back.
He featured 33 times for Aberdeen last term, both domestically and in the Europa Conference League.
The Scotland youth international registered an impressive nine assists for his club, as well as one goal.
Ramsay also played against the likes of Celtic and Rangers at Parkhead and Ibrox.
