According to Calciomercato, Celtic are considering Claudio Ranieri as their next manager. Ranieri is set to leave Roma after just a few months in charge, making him available for Celtic.

The Bhoys have a shortlist of managers to replace Brendan Rodgers as the permanent boss. Neil Lennon, who has been the interim manager, will also be keen on the job.

But Ranieri features alongside Laurent Blanc, Slaven Bilic and Jose Mourinho on Celtic’s managerial wishlist.

The Italian has vast experience in a number of leagues across Europe. This includes his spell at Leicester City, where he won the Premier League against all odds.

Ranieri’s most recent spell in the UK was less successful. He took over as Fulham manager this season after Slavisa Jokanovic struggled to adjust to life in the top-flight.

But he was sacked just months later after Fulham fell freely towards the Championship. Scott Parker was his replacement at Craven Cottage.
