Alan Smith was left amazed by Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane last night as he described him as ‘unplayable’ on Sky Sports.
Spurs got back to winning ways as they thrashed Crystal Palace 4-0 at Selhurst Park. It wasn’t all plain sailing for Antonio Conte’s side and they were under real pressure at the end of the first-half.
But Kane took matters into his own hands and netted a quickfire brace at the beginning of the second period.
His first was a typical striker’s goal as he met Ivan Perisic’s cross at the back post to give Spurs the lead. His second effort came just minutes later and it was the pick of the bunch.

The Englishman played a one-two with Bryan Gil and as he received the ball on the right-hand side, he released a powerful shot into the bottom left corner.
Smith was co-commentating on last night’s game and handed the Tottenham star the man of the match award. And the former Arsenal man described Kane’s performance as ‘absolutely brilliant’.

Kane played a key role in Tottenham’s third goal too as he took the ball down with a delightful touch before playing it to Heung-Min Son, who set-up Matt Doherty.
And his involvement in the goal prompted Smith to wax lyrical about his second-half display.
“It starts with Kane again. He’s been unplayable the last 10 minutes, the centre-forward,” he said on Sky Sports’ coverage of the game.

“Harry Kane’s been majestic out there in this second-half. His header started the ball rolling,” he added after naming Kane as his player of the match.
“Everything he’s done has just shivered with class. Absolutely brilliant. Typified by that second goal. Glorious stuff.”
It was a brilliant night for Spurs and it was exactly the type of response Conte would have been looking for after the defeat to Aston Villa.
Kane is clearly suffering no hangover from his World Cup disappointment, while Son received a much-needed boost as he got a stroke of luck for his goal.
