‘Absolutely awful’: Some Tottenham fans react to new kit announcement
Tottenham announced their new away kit on Thursday – and some of their fans on Twitter have ripped into the design.
Spurs revealed their away kit today on Twitter ahead of the 2021/22 season.
The Nike design is certainly unique. It’s got an out of space feel about with a blend of colours, including purple, blue and pink.
It’s a stark contrast to last season’s all-green design.
Meanwhile, their home shirt is a more traditional all-white kit.
The north London club have used Nike as their kit sponsor since their deal with Under Armour ended in 2017.
Tottenham kit gets thumbs down, but what about the team’s chances?
A selection of Spurs supporters on social media hate the away kit, but they’ll grow to love it if the team perform in it.
They won’t get to play in Europe’s elite club competition the Champions League, instead, they are in the inaugural Europa Conference League this campaign.
It’s going to be interesting to see how new manager Nuno Espirito Santo gets on in London.
He did an amazing job during a four-year spell at Wolverhampton Wanderers, taking them from the Championship to a great competitor in the Premier League.
However, this year is a step up.
