‘Absolute tank’: Southampton fans laud Jan Bednarek after win over Arsenal
Southampton saw off FA Cup holders Arsenal today to advance to the next round, with a Gabriel own goal proving enough for the Saints.
It was yet another resolute and professional performance from Southampton, who are making a habit of impressing onlookers this season.

Among them was giant defender, Jan Bednarek, who once again proved his worth with a fine effort at the back alongside Jack Stephens.
Bednarek has quickly become one of the pillars of the Saints XI and without Vestergaard in there, showed what he is all about today with a towering performance against Arsenal’s tricky attacking players.
Twitter, then, was awash with comments praising Bednarek’s performance, with Southampton fans delighted with what they’ve seen.
With that, here’s a look at what some Saints fans had to say about Jan Bednarek’s performance today.

Professional win, brilliant result. Nice to have a manager who focuses on the cup for once. Wolves are always tough for us but certainly winnable in next round. Well done boys, Bednarek, Diallo and JWP all excellent. What a find Diallo is looking #saintsfc
