‘Absolute monster’: Liverpool fans rave about Ibrahima Konate at Tottenham

Liverpool played out a pulsating 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur yesterday, as the Reds hung on despite having ten men thanks to Andy Robertson’s red card.

Goals from Diogo Jota and the aforementioned Robertson had put Liverpool 2-1 up. However, Heung-Min Son equalised and in the end, a point was probably a fair enough result in north London.

For Liverpool, it was a minor blip in what has been a superb season. Jurgen Klopp was seething after the game with referee Paul Tierney, and has made his feelings more than known. However, despite the obvious frustrations, there were plenty of positives for the Reds again. One of which, was the performance of new defender, Ibrahima Konate.

The summer signing has impressed when given the chance this term. And alongside Joel Matip yesterday, the young powerhouse once again looked the business. And with such a strong showing, the Liverpool fans were always going to be quick to sing his praises.
