‘Absolute monster’: Aston Villa fans laud Tyrone Mings for Manchester United display

Aston Villa ran out surprise 1-0 winners this afternoon as they saw off Manchester United at Old Trafford thanks to a Kortney Hause goal.

The big defender scored late in the day to seal the win for Villa, although Bruno Fernandes blazed a late penalty over the bar to compound a miserable day for Ole Solskjaer’s men.

For Villa, it could prove a huge win in the course of their season and will give Dean Smith’s plenty of confidence for the rest of the year. In today’s performance were a number of standout individuals, with Tyrone Mings one of those players.

Mings put in a superb display at the back to contain the likes of Ronaldo, Greenwood, and Fernandes. Indeed, it was something of a statement display from the big Villa defender.

After going to the Euros in the summer, Mings seems to be going from strength to strength and a big performance at Old Trafford did his reputation no harm today at all.

Villa fans, then, were all over Twitter commending the performance of Tyrone Mings for what was a huge performance today.
