A number of Glasgow Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on the report linking the Ibrox side with Sekou Gassama.

According to Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb, the Gers have submitted an offer in the region of £2.7million for the Real Valladolid striker.

Gassama joined Valladolid in January from Almeria, penning a four-and-a-half-year contract, and immediately went out on loan to CF Fuenlabrada.

The 25-year-old began his career at Barcelona’s famed La Masia youth setup and has been capped by Senegal’s Under-20 side.

Gassama’s career so far has been spent in Spain, largely in the third or fourth tiers, but the 2019-20 season has seen him impress in the second division.

Tuttomercatoweb claims that, although Rangers face competition from Hertha Berlin for the 6ft 2in forward, Steven Gerrard’s men have reportedly made the first move.
