‘Absolute class’: England and Arsenal fans react to Emile Smith Rowe debut

It was a special night for England at Wembley this evening as the Three Lions edged closer to Qatar 2022 with an impressive 5-0 win over Albania.

Gareth Southgate once again got it right with his selection and was reward with a Harry Kane hat-trick, while Harry Maguire and Jordan Henderson also scored.

And while much of the focus was one Kane’s performance, there was a big clamour to see Emile Smith Rowe given his England debut. And Southgate duly obliged with 15 minutes to go.

The Arsenal youngster has been brilliant in the Premier League. And stepping onto the Wembley turf tonight, Smith Rowe looked at home on his England debut as well.

Gunners fans, then, were delighted to see their maestro given the nod by Southgate. Twitter, as you’d expect, was awash with Arsenal fans singing the praises of their man.
