Sky Sports commentator Alan Smith was blown away by Bukayo Saka despite Arsenal’s draw with Southampton today.
The Gunners were held to a 1-1 draw at St Mary’s after dominating for most of the game. Mikel Arteta’s men got off to a typically fast start and Saka was causing the Saints defence some serious problems.
The winger delivered a superb ball into the box inside the opening ten minutes, but none of his teammates managed to get on the end of it. But the moment drew high praise from Smith.

Smith blown away by Saka
Speaking on Sky Sports’ coverage of the game, Smith was full of praise for Saka after he made a bright start to the game.
“What a ball that was! Gabriel at the far post looked to be the closest to it,” he said.
“It’s whipped, it’s flat. The keeper cannot come for it. Absolute beauty from Saka.”

Mikel Arteta’s men found an opener shortly after through Granit Xhaka. The midfielder continued his brilliant run of form as he smashed the ball past Gavin Bazunu with his weaker foot.
Arsenal will be disappointed to not have picked up all three points today after dominating the game.
Gabriel Jesus wasted a couple of decent opportunities while Saka found himself in some threatening positions but couldn’t make the most of them.
The Gunners remain at the top of the Premier League table as they extended their lead to two points.
But Arteta will feel that it was a missed opportunity to open up a wider gap at the top of the table today.
