For Chelsea talent Trevoh Chalobah, Saturday 14th August 2021 will be a day that lives long in the memory. He made his Premier League debut for his boyhood club, scored and was then named Man of the Match. After the game, Tammy Abraham, Fikayo Tomori and Dane Scarlett all praised him on Instagram.

The 22-year-old started the game on the right of a three-man Chelsea defence. He also got the nod in midweek as the Blues won the European Super Cup against Villarreal. It was thought that the start in midweek was a reward for a bright pre-season.

Clearly, he impressed his manager. Chalobah earned a show of faith from his boss who gave him the platform to start the 2021/22 campaign and make an emotional Premier League debut.

The youngster was impressive and after the contest, he took to Instagram to speak of his pride at experiencing the Stamford Bridge crowd for his maiden Premier League outing.

What have Tammy Abraham, Fikayo Tomori and Dane Scarlett said about Chelsea starlet

Tomori left Chelsea for AC Milan in a permanent deal this summer. Abraham looks set to follow suit and join Roma in the coming days. He had been linked with Arsenal but looks likely to link up with Jose Mourinho.

Abraham posted a message suggesting that Chalobah can still improve after his weekend exploits, whilst Tomori claimed that he was living a dream.

Scarlett is currently at Tottenham. He opted to sum up his performance with two emojis instead.

For Chalobah, his future remains uncertain. Tuchel had previously spoken about a loan away from Stamford Bridge this season.

Surely his first two performances this season have earned Chalobah a stay of execution at Chelsea and a place in Tuchel’s plans for the 2021/22 campaign.
