Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has now sent a message to his teammates and fans following last night’s win over Brentford.

Ramsdale was in the Arsenal net given David Raya was ineligible against his parent club, even if many feel he will soon join the club permanently.

But as was the case in two fixtures away from home against Brentford earlier in the season, it was a big opportunity for Arsenal’s former number one.

Ramsdale has played just six Premier League games this season, in comparison to the 38 he managed last campaign.

And in truth, Arsenal fans will probably forgive Ramsdale for looking rusty and perhaps a little nervous against Brentford last night, he’s been in an incredibly tough spot.

But thankfully, owing to a late header by Kai Havertz, Arsenal were able to overcome the equaliser and secure three points.

And judging by the reaction to Ramsdale’s recent Instagram post, the whole Arsenal community are sticking by their goalkeeper, who became so popular last season.

That being said, it seemed as if Ramsdale also wanted to take a moment to thank both his teammates and his ‘amazing’ fans for their support today.

Ramsdale uploaded a photo of himself celebrating the late winner, and penned thank you in the caption.

He said: “This team. It was tough out there but it was special to be back.

“I owe my teammates and the you amazing fans the world for the support I get week in week out.”

And understandably so, the likes of Declan Rice and Ian Wright and so many more of an Arsenal persuasion were quick to send their love.

Although Ramsdale did make a costly mistake, he did also come in clutch during the second half in particular.

The England international made an incredible save to deny Ivan Toney, and then made some crucial high claims under a lot of pressure late on.

As Gary Lineker pointed out, Ramsdale showed a ton of character in his reaction.

And perhaps if the keeper is going to leave Arsenal after the season ends, his new club will be a very lucky one.
