Matt Turner has officially left Arsenal for Nottingham Forest today, and Aaron Ramsdale has sent him a message on Instagram.
The American joined the Gunners from New England Revolution last year. He was always just going to be a backup to Ramsdale, but he still managed to impress when he played.
Turner has now taken the next step in his career, and he will be playing for Nottingham Forest next season.

Aaron Ramsdale reacts as Matt Turner leaves Arsenal
Arsenal were expected by everyone to go into the new season with Aaron Ramsdale and Matt Turner as their two goalkeepers.
The Englishman is among the best in the Premier League. He has been fantastic ever since he joined the Gunners and played a big part in their success last season.
Turner has gone from strength to strength since joining Arsenal. He has developed brilliantly and is now the USMNT’s undisputed number-one after multiple phenomenal performances over the last few months.
Nottingham Forest came calling for Turner a week or so ago, and Arsenal finally agreed to let him go today.
Bidding farewell to Arsenal fans, Turner wrote on Instagram: “What a time! Thank you for the memories, Gooners. I genuinely gave my all every single day to try to push and help the club as much as I could, I hope the fans always felt that.
“My family will forever feel at home in North London, Easton (his son) even seemingly fell in love with the sport! We accomplished so many things and made so many lifelong friendships at Arsenal. That being said, it’s time for a new challenge in my career and for our family life, I’m so excited for what’s to come!
“See you on the other side my Dawgs.”
Ramsdale, who shared a fantastic relationship with Turner, replied: “Gonna miss you, big guy!”

It is probably the right time for Matt Turner to move on from Arsenal.
As the number one for the USMNT and having recently turned 29, the American is at the stage of his career where he should be playing every week. That was never going to happen at Arsenal.
At Forest, on the other hand, he will likely be the number one now, and he has all the qualities to become a star for the Reds in the Premier League in the upcoming campaign.
Ironically, Turner could make his debut for Forest against Arsenal this weekend. Gunners fans cannot be surprised if he suddenly turns into prime Manuel Neuer on Saturday.
