Arsenal saw off Leeds United this weekend in a pulsating game at Elland Road which ensured the Gunners remained top of the table.
Bukayo Saka’s goal was enough for the Gunners, who had to battle their way to three points in what was a tough second half. Leeds pushed and pushed for an equaliser before missing a penalty as well, while Arsenal were fortunate that VAR was in place to overturn a late kick out from Gabriel.

Naturally, Elland Road was it’s usual cauldron-like self and that made for an even better spectacle. And unsurprisingly, Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale seemed to relish the occasion and atmosphere.
Ramsdale has become known for being quite the character in goal for Arsenal and he was caught on camera giving the Leeds fans a bit back at full-time. In a clip doing the rounds on Twitter, Ramsdale can be seen punching the air in the Leeds fans’ direction, before sarcastically clapping supporters as he collected his things.
It’s not the first time an away goalkeeper has had a bit of back and forth with the Leeds fans. Dean Henderson did it while at Sheffield United, while many have had similar experiences over the seasons.
TBR’s View: Ramsdale Loves It
This is all part and parcel of the game and Aaron Ramsdale is one of the goalkeepers in the Premier League who revels in this sort of thing.
Leeds fans are always there giving there all behind that goal and in a way, you can imagine they love it when someone like Ramsdale gives them a bit back.
