Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has been deemed the best goalkeeper for England since Gordon Banks by talkSPORT pundit Adrian Durham.
His opinion on the radio station prompted a wave of reaction by neutral fans, some of whom doubted whether the Toffees ace really is on that level.
Pickford has come under criticism at times over the past few seasons due to the odd mistake, but at the same time the Goodison Park man has also delivered some superb displays for club and country.

Given the form of Dean Henderson at Sheffield United and Nick Pope at Burnley, there has been speculation over who should get the England gloves, but Durham has no qualms about Pickford’s quality.
“(Pickford) is a goalkeeper who has done things that no other England keeper has ever done,” Durham told talkSPORT.
“For England, when was the last keeper we had at Jordan Pickford’s level?” I’m going back to Gordon Banks.”
Banks is widely recognised as one of the finest England goalkeepers of all time, having helped the Three Lions to glory at the 1966 World Cup, while Peter Shilton was the last England stopper before Pickford to compete in a World Cup semi-final, in 1990.
While Pickford was superb for Gareth Southgate’s side during the Russia World Cup two years ago, some fans disagreed with the Banks comparison.
