'A very good chance': Watts drops Arsenal transfer claim on potential double addition
Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah is reportedly going to sign a new contract at the Emirates Stadium.
The 22-year-old’s current deal expires at the end of the season and he looked likely to leave in summer.
However, multiple reports have been claiming Nketiah has done a U-turn and will now pen fresh terms.

This means Mikel Arteta would definitely have at least one senior striker in his ranks going into next term.
Alexandre Lacazette’s contract also expires soon, and there have been no reports suggesting he’s staying.
But despite Nketiah seemingly staying, Charles Watts still reckons Arsenal will look to sign two new strikers.
This is due to the additional workload the Europa League will bring.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, the Goal.com journalist said: “I still think there is a very good chance Arsenal go out and sign two forwards.
“There is going to be lots of demands on the squad, certainly a lot more demands that were on the squad this season because of those extra games in the Europa League and things like that.
“So I still think there is a very good chance they’ll go out and sign two.”
“Plan to sign an important striker”
Arsenal have been linked with a plethora of strikers over the past few months.
There has been plenty of speculation around Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus potentially joining the Gunners.
And more recently, there have been reports claiming Alvaro Morata is closing in on a move to Arsenal.
The likes of Victor Osimhen, Alexander Isak and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are also apparently on the Gunners’ radar.
It certainly does look as though Arsenal will sign at least one new striker.
The Gunners offloaded Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in January and failed to land a replacement.
But given they were reportedly going for Dusan Vlahovic, it showed their intent.
In December last year, Fabrizio Romano claimed Arsenal are planning to sign an “important” striker who’d become their No. 9 for years to come.
“What I’m told is that Arsenal have a plan to sign an important striker,” he said on Rio Ferdinand Presents FIVE.
“I don’t know if it will be January or summer – you remember last time we mentioned Dusan Vlahovic, they were trying but the player was not open to go.
But they’re looking for this kind of player – last summer they were trying for Lautaro Martinez, they had a serious interest in (him) but the player was not open for a Premier League move in general.
“They want this kind of striker, a young one who could be the No. 9 for Arsenal for many years.”
