Former Spurs striker and Talksport pundit, Darren Bent, has urged Arsenal to sign Isco in January, branding the Spaniard a ‘superb’ player.
Arsenal are said to be in early talks over a deal to bring Isco to The Emirates on a loan deal. The 28-year-old is expected to leave Madrid, after falling down the pecking order under Zinedine Zidane.

And Bent, speaking on Talksport this afternoon, believes Isco will be a smart signing who can help elevate the likes of Emile Smith-Rowe even further.
“I think it would be a good signing. We know Smith-Rowe has stepped up but we can’t depend on him.
“Someone like Isco may raise the dressing room. The quality, his creative nature, the front players will enjoy playing with him. You can never have enough good players and Arsenal need them so Isco would be a superb signing.”
Isco has enjoyed plenty of success in Madrid since his arrival from Malaga, getting his hands on four Champions League trophies, two league titles, and four World Club Championship winners medals.

At 28, the Spaniard should have plenty left in the tank and with Mesut Ozil’s Arsenal future more or less done and dusted, Isco could well fill the void.

And sometimes that is what you need from a January signing. You need someone to come in and step up to the plate and show everyone that the standard can go higher.
Arsenal’s young guns are doing well at the moment but Bent is right in that top players like Isco can help. For a short-term deal, the Gunners won’t get much better than the Madrid star.
