Manchester United played out an entertaining match with Tottenham today and Tim Sherwood believes they have to get Marcus Rashford involved more.
Rashford scored a fine goal just before half-time today as he showed just why he commands a place in the starting XI. Despite not being at his best this season, Rashford still has quality and displayed that with the goal.
The England international will be hoping for more of the same in the coming weeks as he looks to really get back into his groove.
And speaking about Rashford, former Spurs boss Tim Sherwood has said that United simply have to use their star forward in the right areas more often.

Tim Sherwood says Manchester United need to use Marcus Rashford properly
Speaking about Rashford for Premier League Productions during the game, Sherwood insisted Rashford is a threat, as long as he’s in the right area of the pitch.
“I like Marcus Rashford in a high role. Keep him up the field, you don’t want him back in left-back. What is he good at? He links up with Hojlund, gets his shot away and puts it into the bottom corner. He needs to produce but Man Utd need to get him the ball in the final third. Forget running back, get him the ball up the field because he can be a real threat,” Sherwood said.
Time to deliver
Everyone in football knows how good Marcus Rashford can be on his day. He’s proven it time and again over the years and seems to just be in a blip.
His goal today will give him some confidence and now, it’s time for him to kick off and really deliver for this United team.
Erik ten Hag needs big players to step up for him now. For too long they’ve been disappointing and the manager is the one copping most of the flak.
For Rashford – who United previously slapped a £120m price tag on – a big second half to the season could change the entire narrative around United this season.
England, too, will be hoping he delivers and heads into the summer in fine fettle.
