Tottenham Hotspur defender Emerson Royal has suggested he loves playing alongside Cristian Romero in a post on his Instagram.
Spurs thrashed the Saints 4-1 on Saturday and Royal put in a decent display as he grabbed an assist.
The 23-year-old also forced a Mohammed Salisu own goal for Spurs’ third of the afternoon after his effort was turned in by the Saints defender.
And now just days after the game, Royal has suggested that he loves playing with Cristian Romero in the Tottenham defence.

Royal took to Instagram last night to post a picture of him embracing Romero in the tunnel at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Brazilian tagged Romero in the post and captioned the picture ‘a pleasure to play with you’.

The pair have frequently lined up together on the right side of Spurs’ defence and are beginning to forge a partnership under Antonio Conte.
While Royal put in an excellent display against the Saints, Romero was also solid at the heart of the Spurs defence.
The former Juventus centre-back has been brilliant since making the switch from Serie A last summer and has become a mainstay in the Tottenham side.
Royal’s place in Conte’s side was tested last season as Matt Doherty came into the team and performed brilliantly before suffering an injury.

For now, Royal seems to be the first choice wing-back for Conte while Doherty fully recovers from the knee injury he suffered against Aston Villa during the last campaign.
The Brazilian also faces added competition in Djed Spence this season after the youngster made the switch from Middlesbrough this summer.
But after a good display on Saturday, Royal looks likely to keep his place for the time being and continue to play alongside Romero in the Spurs backline.
Conte’s men travel to West London this Sunday to face bitter rivals Chelsea and will be aiming to get their first win at Stamford Bridge since 2018.
