‘A lot of unfair criticism’ – Everton fans react as Morgan Schneiderlin seals Nice move

Everton have today confirmed the departure of midfielder, Morgan Schneiderlin, to Nice, and Toffees fans have been reacting in their droves on social media to his departure.

Schneiderlin was a big-money signing at Goodison Park back in 2017, joining for a reported (BBC) fee of around £24m after struggling at Old Trafford.

But in the last six to twelve months, the Frenchman has slipped down the pecking order at Everton, too.

He appeared 30 times in his first season in the PL with the Toffees but made just 14 appearances last season and has followed that up with just 15 this time around.

And now Schneiderlin has finally sealed a move away from Merseyside, joining Nice for an undisclosed fee.

On his day, the Frenchman can be a class act, so a return to his homeland might do him good.

Everton fans too seemed to wish him well on his new move, with plenty taking to Twitter to react to the news. However, there were a few Toffees fans who didn’t seem too bothered by his departure!
