Tottenham Hotspur captain Hugo Lloris has been speaking to the club’s official website and was seriously impressed by Heung-Min Son’s work-rate against Eintracht Frankfurt last night.
Son has gone on to become a world-class player since joining from Bayer Leverkusen for £22 million back in 2015 (BBC).
The 30-year-old picked up his first Golden Boot award last season as he bagged 22 Premier League goals. Yet, the South Korean has got off to a difficult start to the current campaign but seems to be finding his form now.
Son bagged a hat-trick against Leicester City from the bench last month and scored a Champions League brace last night.
But it was his work-rate that impressed his captain Lloris against Frankfurt.

Lloris impressed by Son’s work-rate
Speaking to Spurs Play, Lloris feels the brace will fill Son with confidence after a dazzling display.
“Sonny was making a lot of effort for the team and he was rewarded,” he said.
“His two goals were very important for the team tonight and also for him. When you are an offensive player you are always looking for goals to get your confidence as high as you can.
“Let’s say that at this level we need our players at their best, it’s as simple as that. He makes more chance for the team to get the result that we wish.”

Son was certainly back to his usual best last night and ran himself into the ground at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The South Korean scored a brilliant goal in the first-half too as he smashed a volley past Kevin Trapp on his so-called weaker foot.
But what should please Conte the most was Son’s endless running off-the-ball. The Spurs man put pressure on Frankfurt players throughout the game and made threatening runs in behind.
Conte will be hoping last night is just the start of his Tottenham side beginning to click into gear in terms of their attacking play.
Spurs have picked up positive results this season while not being at their best. But you get the feeling that they’ve still got another level to hit yet.
