'A fantastic human': Dejan Kulusevski says he's a huge fan of 29-year-old Tottenham teammate
Spurs ended the first-half of their Premier League campaign with a 4-3 win over Leeds United on Saturday.
Kulusevski returned to the starting line-up for the first time since September after he had been sidelined with an injury he picked up while on international duty with Sweden.
The 22-year-old provided an assist and looked like a real bright spark for Spurs, showcasing exactly what they had been missing over the past seven weeks.
Kane got amongst the goals on Saturday too, taking his total for the season to 13 in all competitions. And Kulusevski has heaped praise on the England star and says he’s a lethal finisher.
Kulusevski huge fan of Kane
Speaking to The Sun, Kulusevski labelled Kane a role model in the Spurs dressing room.
“Harry is a big player, a fantastic human, I wish him all the best for the World Cup,” Kulusevski said.
“He’s a finisher. You know that when you give him the ball, nine times out of 10 he will score. He’s a true role model.”
Kane’s impressive start to the season has gone slightly under the radar due to Erling Haaland’s incredible tally of 18-goals.
The England captain has been in lethal goalscoring himself though and has scored 12 goals in 15 Premier League games.
The 29-year-old is set to lead England out at the World Cup over the next month and will be hoping to carry his form into the tournament.
Antonio Conte will be delighted to round off the first-half of the season with a win, especially after a difficult run of form in recent weeks.
The Italian has struggled to get the best out of his Spurs squad so far this season, with injuries to key players hindering their progress.
But Tottenham remain inside the top-four heading into the international break and have a last-16 Champions League clash with AC Milan to look forward to.
