‘A class act’…Pundit says £30m Arsenal player has something you can’t even ‘manufacture in a laboratory’

Arsenal are having quite the season this year and could well end up coming out of it all as Premier League champions and Robbie Savage has been seriously impressed by one player.

Mikel Arteta’s side have meshed brilliantly all season and the new additions in the summer have all brought something to the table.

In midfield, Declan Rice has been outstanding and has fully lived up to the hype of being bought for over £100m.

David Raya has given the Gunners a brand new look in the sticks and his ability with his feet has justified Arteta replacing Aaron Ramsdale.

Meanwhile, Kai Havertz has excelled in recent months and is showing the sort of form that convinced the Arsenal coaching staff he was worth the layout.

However, it is a player bought in previous windows that is arguably excelling the most in this current Arsenal team.

That man is Martin Odegaard.

The Norwegian has been brilliant linking midfield and attack and including Odegaard in his team of the season for The Mirror, Robbie Savage has lauded the £30m Arsenal man’s impact.

“A class act, chipping in 10 goals and seven assists from midfield and often dictating the tempo of games. That left foot is like a wand, and his chemistry with Bukayo Saka on the Gunners’ right flank is something you can’t manufacture in a laboratory,” Savage said.

Martin Odegaard is Arsenal’s main man

It’s pretty remarkable to think that Martin Odegaard is coming up to a decade in the game and is still only 25.

The Arsenal skipper has bloomed into one of the world’s best attacking midfielders and since those days of being a teenager with promise in Madrid, is now one of Europe’s main men.

For Arsenal, it’s hard to quantify just how important he is.

Off the pitch, Odegaard is known as a leader and example setter and in a young Arsenal squad, is highly respected by everyone.

On the field, he has delivered in big moments and has once again done well in terms of goals and assists this season.

Arsenal are simply a much better team with Odegaard in and it’s little wonder Savage has included him here.
