£89m-rated Serie A star and Gibbs-White react to Wolves star’s Instagram update

Pedro Neto has posted on Instagram after the in-form Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker put pen to paper on a new five-year deal with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side – prompting reaction from an £89million-rated midfielder and Morgan Gibbs-White.

With Diogo Jota leaving to join Liverpool, Portugal Under-21 international Neto has come in with pressure on his shoulders to replace the summer exit. At 20 years of age, Neto has become a regular in the Wolves side.

Starting all seven Premier League matches, Neto has had a hand in three goals this season – scoring an excellent winner against Fulham during a 1-0 win. He has also laid on crucial assists in wins over Sheffield United and Crystal Palace.

That has convinced Wolves to extend Neto’s contract and increase his wages, despite only joining the club from Lazio in the summer of 2019. The £16million signing underlined his delight to put pen to paper, which will keep him at Wolves until he is 25.

Neto now has 52 appearances for Wolves in all competitions in little over a year, as he continues to form an eye-catching attack alongside Raul Jimenez and Adama Traore. He has had a hand in 13 goals, but will be looking to improve that this season.

Former Lazio teammate and highly-rated midfielder Sergej Milinkovic Savic – who is rated at £89million (Goal) – urged Neto to “keep going”. Gibbs-White also responded to Neto’s Instagram, congratulating him.
