Tottenham Hotspur wrapped up their tour of South Korea with a 1-1 draw against Sevilla on Saturday.

Spurs took the lead early in the second half at the Suwon World Cup Stadium thanks to Harry Kane’s strike.

However, Sevilla pegged Tottenham back through a superb Ivan Rakitic effort in the 64th minute.

The two teams played out an intense and fierce encounter, with plenty of crunching tackles flying in.

And though it wasn’t the most refined of performances from Spurs, several players did stand out.

One of those was Rodrigo Bentancur, who came on at the break.

The £20million man and fellow January signing Dejan Kulusevski added some much-needed quality in midfield.

And media outlets providing post-match reaction rated Bentancur highly.

Alasdair Gold gave the Uruguay international 7 out of 10 for his efforts.

“Added some great touches to the midfield,” he wrote on football.london.

“But lost the ball in a key area on the hour mark and Sevilla should have done better with it.

“Overall he added to the midfield though.”

90Min opted to give Bentancur 6 out of 10 for his performance in Suwon.

“A more open second half allowed the Uruguayan to easily play his way through midfield,” they added.

The highest rating for Bentancur on the day came from The Spurs Web.

They gave the 25-year-old 8 out of 10 and wrote: “Completely changed the game in midfield.

“Spurs were sloppy in the first half, but Bentancur was so assured in the middle of the park, using the ball well and bringing the forwards into play with ease.

“Won the ball to set up Kane’s opener.”
