West Ham United striker Michail Antonio is now open to the idea of moving to the Saudi Pro League in 2024.

Antonio has had another season of struggles in front of goal and on the injury front at West Ham.

The 33-year-old has found the net just twice this season and appears to becoming more famous for his comments on his podcast than getting goals for the Hammers.

And according to 90Min, Antonio’s future at West Ham is now uncertain, with claims he could now be open to a move to Saudi Arabia.

The Saudis are once again drawing up a list of potential signings for the summer months and Antonio is a name of interest for a number of clubs.

Antonio is said be open to leaving for Saudi if the right offer comes along. In turn, that will force the Hammers into the market in January as they look to bring a new forward in.

No surprise Michail Antonio is open to Saudi move

Given his goal scoring record of late and the fact he is now 33 and probably past his very best, it’s little wonder Antonio is open to this switch.

It’s likely to land him one massive payday at the end of his career and the football he’ll be playing will be a much lower level, leading to less impact on his body in terms of injury.

Antonio has been a great player for West Ham in fairness. They only paid £7m for him and when you look in modern day football, there’s very few out there who’ve contributed so much for so little.

Ultimately, some players just reach the end of their time with a club and that looks like being the case with Antonio and West Ham here.

If he can land a move to Saudi on big money, then in all honesty, good for him.
