Leeds United came from behind to secure a 3-3 draw at Aston Villa on Wednesday night.

The Whites and the Villans served up an exhilarating Premier League game with plenty of drama.

Leeds opened the scoring against the run of play after just eight minutes through Daniel James.

Rodrigo dispossessed Tyrone Mings on the edge of the area to find James, who netted with a smart low finish.

However, Villa equalised on the half-hour mark through Philippe Coutinho.

He found himself in space on the edge of the area after a ball from Matty Cash and rifled into the bottom corner.

Eight minutes later, Coutinho picked out Aaron Ramsey with a slide-rule pass, and the Villa youngster duly slotted home.

Leeds then found themselves 3-1 down when the two Villa players once again combined to find the back of the net.

However, Marcelo Bielsa’s charges gave themselves hope in first-half injury time.

James grabbed his second of the game, heading Rodrigo’s deflected cross home at the far post.

Diego Llorente then completed the comeback just after the hour mark.

A poor Mings clearance only went as far as the Spaniard, who duly hammered the ball home to make it 3-3.

Several players stood out for Leeds on the night, James and Rodrigo in particular.

Pascal Struijk also deserves credit for another good performance.

The 22-year-old couldn’t really be blamed for any of Villa’s goals.

Struijk could’ve also got on the scoresheet, but Mings kept out his goalbound second-half header.

The Dutchman clocked up some impressive stats, as per Whoscored.

He took 91 touches of the ball and made 77 passes with an accuracy of 90.9 percent.

Struijk also registered three efforts, one on target, won three aerial challenges, and made five clearances and three interceptions.

Liam Cooper recently said his young teammate had what it takes to become one of the best defenders in the world.

Struijk is certainly proceeding along that path and, best of all, he didn’t cost Victor Orta a penny to sign him (LUFCDATA).
