Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing promising Norwich City star Ben Godfrey this summer.
The Daily Mail claim Spurs scouts were impressed by the 21-year-old last term after he played a key role in the Canaries’ promotion to the Premier League.

Godfrey made a total of 36 appearances in 2018/19, and has also caught the attention of Manchester United.
Former Red Devils defender Rio Ferdinand has apparently talked up the youngster to Old Trafford officials, as Godfrey is a client of his New Era agency.
Enticingly for potential suitors, Godfrey is versatile enough to be able to play as a central defender or holding midfielder – and that should cause Spurs ace Eric Dier some concern.
TBR’s view
Like Godfrey, Dier can play as both a central defender or a holding midfielder.
If the club were to beat United to the youngster’s signature, then arguably Dier would have to step up his game as he would be in direct competition with him for minutes.
It wasn’t the greatest season on a personal level for £60,000-a-week Dier (Spotrac) in 2018/19.

He was a useful player for Spurs, but the team never really suffered with him out of the side when he was recovering from having his appendix out.
Moussa Sissoko and Harry Winks deputised and looked solid together and when Dier returned he didn’t really pull up any trees.
Perhaps Godfrey signing would be the kind of pressure he needs to get back to his best.
