Tottenham Hotspur fell to a humbling 3-2 defeat at the hands of Southampton on Wednesday night.
Spurs led twice in the game at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium, but were taken apart by the visitors late on.
Jan Bednarek’s own goal put Tottenham ahead in the 18th minute but Saints levelled through Armando Broja.

Spurs were very much second best in the first half and were lucky not to be trailing by the break.
Son Heung-min then put Tottenham ahead again when he slid home to convert Lucas Moura’s cross on 70 minutes.
However, Spurs then conceded twice in the space of three minutes, their defence completely undone.
James Ward-Prowse provided the deliveries for Mohamed Elyounoussi and then Che Adams to head home.
Steven Bergwijn thought he had grabbed a dramatic leveller in stoppage time, but he had strayed just offside.
A disappointing night for Tottenham, with few players able to hold their heads up high.
One of those was Cristian Romero, who wasn’t at fault for any of Spurs’ conceded goals.
Admittedly, the 23-year-old did deliver a few misplaced passes and was caught ball-watching on a few occasions.

But for the most part, Romero was committed and hard-working, made good challenges and contributed to attacks.
He headed home early on but was offside, and sent a late header for Bergwijn to net his chalked-off goal.
As per Whoscored, Romero made three tackles, six clearances, one interception and blocked one shot.
He also won four aerial challenges, made 44 passes with an 88.6 percent accuracy, and delivered four accurate long balls.
Romero may have been on the losing side tonight but there’s no doubt he’s got a great future under Antonio Conte.
