Reports are suggesting that Tottenham Hotspur are open to selling Cameron Carter-Vickers this summer. The USA international is reportedly available for a fee of £5 million, as reported by Football Insider.
It certainly does not follow the narrative from last year. After Carter-Vickers headed to Ipswich Town on loan in January 2018, the Argentine made it clear he has a future at Spurs in conversation with Football.London.

However, Carter-Vickers has clearly not done enough since then to convince Tottenham he is worth a chance.
“Yes, of course. It’s a great experience for the young players.
“After two years training with us, he deserves to play. He needs to build his career. We’re thinking one day he can come back and have success at Tottenham.”
TBR’s View
Carter-Vickers has spent the last season on loan at Swansea City. The 21-year-old fought to earn his place in the Swansea side and, toward the end of the season, was in fine form for Graham Potter’s men. He established himself as one of the starting centre-backs from January onward so hearing that Tottenham are now ready to let him go seems odd.
However, it could be that his stock is currently at its highest. Tottenham know they could cash in on him now for a good price, after his impressive run toward the end of the season at Swansea.
Tottenham need top Champions League level centre-backs and, as talented as Carter-Vickers is, he does not fall into that bracket.
Selling him now makes perfect sense.
