Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky has praised Ibrox following his side’s clash with Glasgow Rangers on Thursday night, admitting he is jealous of Steven Gerrard’s charges for playing there regularly.
Rangers hosted the Bundesliga side at their famous ground in their Europa League last-16 first leg, a game in which the Ibrox side was easily overwhelmed in a 3-1 defeat.
Kai Havertz opened the scoring for Leverkusen on 37 minutes and Charles Aranguiz doubled their lead shortly after the hour.

Although George Edmundson halved the deficit in the 75th minute, Leon Bailey gave the visitors a third away goal two minutes from time.
With uncertainty now reigning given the various postponements across most European football leagues and the UEFA competitions, Hradecky feels that the Ibrox clash was a great experience before the hiatus.
“The atmosphere was fantastic and to be honest I’m a bit jealous,” Hradecky is quoted by the Daily Record as saying. “That’s going to be our last game for quite some time in front of fans, but what a game it was.”
TBR View:
Rangers might be struggling at present but the atmosphere produced by the fanbase, particularly at Ibrox, is something to behold.
Hradecky is a goalkeeper with vast experience in Bundesliga football and with the Finland national team – 58 caps – who has likely played at some of the biggest and best stadiums in the world,
For such a player to say he is jealous of playing at the famous ground, truly speaks volumes about just how great a stadium it is.
