Arsenal target addresses his chances of summer transfer

International tournaments always provide Premier League clubs with the ability to judge a number of their potential transfer targets.

This summer was no different with the Gunners eyeing the likes of Nico Williams who is receiving a lot of interest already in the market.

However, there was another Spaniard who has caught the attention of the north London side.

Midfielder Dani Olmo played a significant role in Spain’s triumph in Germany over the last month and Arsenal are keen on bringing in the £50m-rated 26-year-old.

Speaking to Spanish outlet Marca, Olmo addressed the speculation of a potential return to Barcelona this summer.

“We’ll see. Yesterday we celebrated all day and now I’m at the Campus. The people who deal with that (transfer market) already know what I want to do,” he said.

“I don’t know if I’ll stay in Germany, we’ll see. I want to be somewhere where I’m valued and loved and what I want to do is win. There are several options, we’ll see what happens.”

What Dani Olmo had to say on Arsenal target Nico Williams

Two of Spain’s stars in the Euros were Olmo and Williams with Arsenal said to be interested in both.

Athletic Club are said to now be putting pressure on Williams to make a decision on his future with clubs circling.

Talks have now been held with Barcelona and the player’s agent and it is apparent Olmo feels the 22-year-old is capable of playing for any club.

“I think Nico fits into any team in the world. He’s an incredible player and a great person too,” Olmo said.

“He has to decide what’s best for him and I’ll be happy for him whatever he does.”
