Arsenal have their eyes on a number of players this summer but could end up missing out to old rivals Manchester United when it comes to one key target.
The Gunners are looking to strengthen their squad and in an ideal world, would have done so before jetting off to the USA tomorrow.
Regardless, things seem to be looking positive on the incomings front and Arsenal are thought to be close to signing Riccardo Calafiori.
Of course, Calafiori’s arrival will be the defence sorted out and from there, Mikel Arteta will look to strengthen the depth and quality further up the field.
Landing players of sufficient quality to meet those needs is another matter entirely, though.
However, one man who does appear to tick the boxes for Arsenal after being linked to the club is Spanish midfielder, Dani Olmo.
But according to reports, any hopes Arsenal have of signing Olmo could now rest on what Manchester United decide to do.

Manchester United enter race to sign Dani Olmo
According to a report from AS, Manchester United have now entered the race to sign Olmo, who is also wanted by a number of other clubs.
Liverpool, Manchester City, Barcelona, and as discussed prior, Arsenal, are all firm admirers of the Spaniard.
However, it’s now claimed that United have entered the race with some degree of force and could well tempted to pay the £50m needed to sign him.
It’s suggested that the speed at which United landed the likes of Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee have encouraged officials at Old Trafford and they could move onto Olmo next.
Olmo, of course, is coming off the back of a fine tournament in Germany where he helped Spain win once again.
It very much seems like the race is on to sign him and if Manchester United do decide to make their move, then Arsenal could well be powerless to stop it.
