Spurs have received a potential transfer boost, with Italian outlet Calciomercato reporting that there is a feeling that the future of Mikkel Damsgaard lies in the Premier League.
Damsgaard has been one of the breakout stars of Euro 2020. His stunning free-kick put Denmark ahead in their semi-final clash with England on Wednesday.

The 21-year-old was outstanding throughout the tournament. But that may not have come as a great surprise to a number of clubs.
Spurs are one of the team reportedly monitoring the attacking midfielder. Samp News 24 recently reported that Fabio Paratici wants the Dane to follow him from Serie A to North London.

Damsgaard – who was recently compared with Kevin De Bruyne – only cost Sampdoria £6 million when he arrived last summer.
Calciomercato reports that he will not go for less than £34.3 million in this window. Juventus, Inter Milan and AC Milan are all admirers.
But it appears that they may be about to miss out. According to Calciomercato, the feeling is Damsgaard is likely to move to the Premier League.
They note that several clubs have contacted his agent.
Admittedly, Spurs are not mentioned in the latest report. But given their links and Paratici’s prior knowledge of the player, it is hard to imagine that they are not one of the sides to have made some sort of move.
At the very least, they can take encouragement from the notion that he is seemingly likely to head to the Premier League.
Form of Spurs target Damsgaard last season hints he’ll be a lot more than a one-tournament wonder if he makes Premier League move
Of course, fans may always be wary of signing players off the back of some brilliant performances at one major tournament.
There have been numerous occasions when a player has simply failed to recapture their previous form following a big move.
But Damsgaard has established himself as one of the brightest talents in Serie A. So there is little reason to believe that he is a flash in the pan.
It remains to be seen if Spurs step up their interest now Euro 2020 is over for the Danes.
But judging by the latest reports, the smart money suggests that he could be on his way to the Premier League.
